HP 50g Calculator - Turn off the Beep

The ‘Beep’ option can be useful to advise the user about errors. However, this option can be deselected while using the calculator in a classroom, library, or any public place. To change the Beep setting:
  1. Push and release the key.

  2. Use the silver arrow keys to highlight the field in front of 'Beep'. The Beep is active when preceded by the check mark.

  3. Press the soft menu key to uncheck it.
  4. To reactivate the 'Beep' option, press the soft menu key with the field highlighted.
  5. Press the soft menu key to save the setting and exit the 'CALCULATOR MODES' page.
